Hi! Booksmart seems to be broken for me even using the latest updated version 3.5.3.34869. It is no longer possible to upload your book. The client tells that your username/password is wrong. Which it isn't as I can log in from the web using the same credentials. I have tried from two different computers now. One Windows 8 PC and one Windows 10 PC. Unfortuntately I have already created my book in Booksmart and I am not so fond of having to start all over from scratch with another tool. I have the export file but there seems to be no way to upload a Booksmart export file to the web and no way to import it into BookWright (other than downloading from the web, which I can't as I can't upload it...) No answer from support yet even though several days have passed. General feeling is that this is not a high priority from the support. Nonetheless I would be ordering around 30 books if this was working. So not only I am getting more frustrated. Blurb is loosing business too. I would very much appreciate comments from users in the same situation. Has anyone managed a work around? Please tell us what the workaround was!

You are having the same problem I am having. I have tried changing passwords a few times and nothing seems to work. What is strange is that I can load the "old" books I have created in BookSmart but when I try to upload the books into BookWright it only identifies on of six of the old books. Very strange. I've tried changing locations of where the books are stored and I've probably really messed up everything between the two software apps. I really liked BookSmart and find many things better than with the "new" and improved BookWright. Looks like I'll have to recreate the books and suffer through a less capable software app, BookWright, to make the new books. I especially liked being able to modify and save the page layouts in BookSmart. You can do it in BookWright but it is much more limited and less intuitive than BookSmart.
If you really had taken the time to read through my support request you would have seen clearly that I was not helped by the support. As I wrote in another thread to a user with the same problem as me -
My solution was to redo the whole book project once again in BookWright instead. My impression is that Blurb is no longer providing updates for BookSmart and that uploads from it has stopped working completely. And is not fixable. My recommendation is therefore to stay away from BookSmart and if you have done any work in it, tough luck, just start over in another tool. I even asked the support if they could manually convert the export file from BookSmart to BookWright format but no success. Still my impression, but it appears that customer support is very mechanical and has little to no actual knowledge about the BookSmart software. I have moved forward now and don't care about BookSmart anymore, but my move to BookWright would have been much less wasteful if Blurb correctly communicated that BookSmart should not be used for new projects.
Also, at least one copy of the book I finally ordered from my new BookWright project had wrinkled pages in it. So print quality is going down too.
