Quite often the heavier hard cover books arrived with some damage to the corners. One particularly bad case is shown below although in all fairness, the damage is usually less. Is it possible for Blurb to consider using corner guards like the ones shown in the picture below at least for the heavier and thicker hard cover books. This is probably less expensive than the way that Apple Books returns their books individually packed in a box with has a one inch corrugated paper guard surrounding the book like a picture within a frame.
