Coloring books for adults are extremely popular... how can we make our own through blurb.com?

Above is the link that tells how coloring books are all the rage.... for adults, especially. I would like to make coloring books utilizing my art.

Yes, I just came here to ask this very question. They would need good quality paper for drawing, and perhaps perforated pages if that can be done cost-effectively. And if the pages are all in black & white (except for the cover), they can be printed more economically.

Thank you, Molly!  What type of paper do you think works best for coloring books?  I'm assuming these are trade books and am looking at the different paper options - I wouldn't want markers to bleed through.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Hi guys, what is the best paper selection for a colouring book if the pages are all in black & white (except for the cover)?

Cheers, Stéphanie

ProLine Uncoated tends to be the best option for a more matte finish paper that can take pencils or crayon or ink with as little bleeding through pages possible!

The Proline Uncoated is usually far beyond the affordability of the colouring book collector. It's quoting me over $98.79 for the proline version (least expensive choice offered) where as Trade Economy Color is $7.03 (softcover).  That pricing is not competitive with what is currently available for the self-publisher. It would be worth considering more economical paper choices for those of us self publishing in one of the largest growing categories in the industry. Also, I agree that perforation is most definitely something you should think about as well as an add on option.

Has there been any update to the site for this need?  Looks like the paper and the pricing are still not competitive...
