Interesting idea. I've never seen an eBook reader do that, but it would be nice. Adobe Reader does that for pdf files if you make the right settings. I've used Kindle and Kobo readers, but they don't offer a two-page spread option for viewing, AFAIK. So the only way I know of doing that is to publish as a PDF and view it on your iPad.
eBook shows just 1 page at a time in iBooks
Part of the fun of bookmaking (for me) is finding pictures that match\interact when put on opposing pages. When I open a Blurb eBook in iBooks on my iPad it shows only one page at a time instead of the 2 opposing pages. This is also a problem when using a spread over 2 pages.
Is there a way to show the eBook just like a paper book, with 2 opposing pages at once?

I just checked my Kindle app on my tablet in landscape mode and it does allow side-by-side pages. However, since this is a reflow format, you can't really predict which pages will be side-by-side. It is really more like a column system where the bottom of the left column wraps to the top of the next column.
I understand that iBooks is a fixed format so you would think you should be able to do it. What Blurb tool were you using to publish? If you used the PDF to eBook workflow, I'm guessing you would have complete control over this issue. Maybe in some other workflows as well.
