Ibook Submission

Hi there,

I am tearing my air out here - I submitted 2 books to the Apple ibook store one in English and one in French, both identical in every way apart from the language. The English version has been accepted with no problems, the French version has been bounced back 3 times!

The first message about the Authors name is and has always been in the first name / last name format - so I don't understand what they are trying to get at here

I don't understand what the Metadata attached to the ticket by feed means - Could anyone shed some light please

This is the last ticket message

  • - Author names must be submitted as intended to appear on iBooks and must be in a first name / last name format (i.e. John Doe and not Doe, John). Please ensure all authors are submitted correctly. See the iBooks Store Formatting Guidelines, section 2.2.
  • Metadata attached to the ticket by the feed.

My problem is identical, I have pressed "ask for this to be answered" above, so hopefully we will get a reply from blurb soon :-)

Thanks carol-ann.  I will send another request to them.  I think I may have sorted the problem, weirdly after searching google and finding the same problem being experience by another author with another ebook website who submit to apple.  I think, from what i can gather, your titles, names etc have to match exactly to what is typed into the author and title fields in the ebook software before you submit it to apple, so fingers crossed, I've adjusted everything and resubmitted both books with exactly the same info on the title pages and entry fields :-)

Hi Emma, How quickly are iBooks rejecting your new submissions? With mine I was getting rejection e-mails within 24 hours and Blurb told me to ignore them as the corrected submission would take at least a week to be checked and accepted or rejected and then I got an acceptance e-mail from iBooks a week later. Hope this helps.

But what's the real effect of these crises, and how long do they typically last? Social media monitoring company SDL took a look at three brands that faced a PR crisis since social media has become ubiquitous--United, Nestle, and Dominos--to find out how long it took each to recover. social media marketing books The results are compiled in the infographic below. As you can see, it took some (Nestle) longer than others to recover its positive online sentiment. Let your followers tell your business story

Perhaps the social media campaign Ford is best known for rolled out in 2009 and was called the "Fiesta Movement." social media marketing firms Ford recruited 100 people to drive the Ford Fiesta for six months, and paid for their gas and car insurance. The drivers were then asked to share their experiences driving the car on YouTube. What started with a simple social video contest wound up generating a huge amount of buzz. The Fiesta Movement generated 6.2 million views on YouTube, 750,000 views on Flickr and 40 million Twitter impressions, Monty said, driving more than 100,000 people to Ford's website. Build a great product or service and let your customers use it and share their experiences over social media. "If you have a great product, don't be afraid," Monty said. "Let them be your voice.A Tweet refers to a single Twitter post or text message. small business social media marketing Your Twitter homepage consists of your timeline, which is a history of all your Tweets and the Tweets of all the people you’re following. An account holder on Twitter who posts and reads Tweets is a Tweeter; also known as a Twitterer. An in-person networking event that's promoted almost exclusively via Twitter is called a Tweetup. Tweetups have become very popular because you can quickly bring together a group of like-minded people who are following each other on Twitter. When you publicize the Tweetup on Twitter, the general public sees the invitation so you can attract new people to your networking groups with little effort. When you want to stop following another Twitter user, you unfollow them. Their Tweets no longer show up in your home timeline.URL shorteners are used to turn long URLs into shorter URLs. Shortening your URLs is important because you only social media marketing firm have 140 characters available for your Tweets. Your username is also known as your Twitter handle. Your username must be unique and contain fewer than 15 characters. It is also used to identify you on Twitter for replies and mentions.

Engage with your followers/fans

Companies are expanding the traditional role of social media in exciting ways. social media in marketing Some brands use Facebook as a billboard (Wow Bao offers free food to Facebook fans on Wednesdays) and Twitter as a conversation spot (responding to questions and commenting on the latest pop culture events). At the South Beach Wine & Food Festival in Miami last year, Evian commissioned an illustrator to capture images of celebrity chefs and behind-the-scenes moments at the festival and post pictures to Evian's Twitter feed. Brown says "live illustrated tweeting" was a fun and creative way to capture the spirit of the event and match the "live young" message Evian promotes. Brown enjoys playing at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, and suggests businesses experiment with social media, such as creating real-life meet-ups for brands and businesses to connect with fans. social media marketing definition Another great example of engaging brand fans is Red Mango's launch of the Honey Badger flavor last summer. In 2011, Dan Kim, founder of the top-rated frozen yogurt chain tapped into the popularity of the viral video Crazy Nasty Honey Badger, (language NSFW) which has more than 56 million views on YouTube, when Red Mango created its honey yogurt flavor, named "Honey Badger." Customers who recognized the video took pictures of the yogurt in stores and posted them on Instagram.Once it gained momentum online, Red Mango created its own Honey Badger spoof video, and shared it on social media. The Honey Badger flavor became a top-seller for the franchise. And the parody cost, nothing. When it comes to marketing, think outside the box. Look at what's popular in social media, and see if you can tweak it to make it your own.To add a video pin, select the Add button at the top of Pinterest's main page. social media marketing for dummies Choose the Add a Pin option and enter the URL of the video you wish to upload, either via YouTube or another link. Click the Find Images button to choose a thumbnail image from the video that best sums up your video. Next, select which of your boards to pin your video to. Click Pin It and you're done.
