Why can't I design my own book flap?

It used to be that a small photo as well as text could be included on the book flap... a perfect place to tell a little something about the author or the book.  Now, you cannot edit the flap.  Why?   I so much liked that feature and it made the book seem more professional.  As it is now... the flap seems quite useless.

I wasn't aware until now that it wasn't possible to do that.  I put a photo on the flap of my book and added text, it looked fine so I sent it off, but I have been trying to edit this flap subsequently to add more information and couldn't find the flap...thanks to you I now know why!!, but as you say, this is very annoying.  The only answer I can see is to delete the back cover photograph and put this author information on the back cover instead.  A friend of mine has done that with his book and it looks ok, but I am a little cross that I wasn't aware of this before I sent my book to print as there won't be any author information on my book now.

Thanks Abigael for your comment to my question about book flaps.  I have done about 10 books with blurb and all the flaps have information... about the book and about the author.  It looks professional and it was so easy to do.  I was so frustrated the other day trying to figure it all out and was so disappointed to find out that it is no longer possible.  I was able to put a looooooong photo in there but what good is that?  Hope they will rethink this!

Hello- if you're using Bookify or BookSmart, then you should see the space to design Dust Jacket flaps on the cover template.  If you're using BookWrght, select the cover button in the top left hand corner and design on the Dust Jacket template.

If you have further question,  please reach out directly here: http://bit.ly/1qYOWly

The last time I made a book, I was unable to add text on either the front or back flap as well as a small photo.  I do not know if this has changed.  I very much liked that option.
