Issue with Albums in Facebook with Bookify

I created a lovely little book about my dogs a few years ago when one of them passed away. I used Bookify to import pictures of my dog, descriptions and my friends comments. It was a wonderful thing.

BUT, I am trying to do the same thing again because another one of my dogs is very ill and I want to preserve my memories of her. The issue is, Bookify has a bug that is preventing me from seeing ALL the photos in my Facebook albums. I've tried to work through Support, but just get the answer that they can't replicate the issue with their "test account" so I just have to live with it. I've provided screen captures of the process and issue, and I've offered to provide access to both accounts but I am not getting any help on this.

Here is the issue:

  1. In Bookify when I link to my Facebook account, I can see all of my albums (yay!)
  2. I can see one album called "mobile uploads" and that it has 924 images.
  3. But when I open that album, the number changes to 65 photos and only shows those 65.
  4. Those 65 have NOTHING in common. They are a random selection of photos from across a 3 year period up until last weekend.
  5. When I return to the album view, it states that there are only 65 photos - not the 924 it said before.
  6. This prevents me from adding any of those missing images into a book.

Blurb Support's solution is that I download the images I want from Facebook and upload them to Bookify. That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard.Since I am not just wanting a photo book (I could order that from anywhere!) I want my Facebook comments as well, this is not a solution.

Can anyone help me?! Thank you!

I am having the exact same problem - my mobile folder has 680 and only shows 105 when trying to download....

Glad to know its not just me (despite the "test account")! It sounds like the Facebook "mobile" folder is something blurb has not accounted for. Or the fact that a user can have hundreds of images in a single folder...

I am having the same problem and can't make a new folder in facebook to try to fix the issue from a back door approach.

I am having the same problem - except my mobile folder goes from >2000 to only 3 when I click on it!

After I had escalated this issue and complained heavily, someone from Blurb listened. They said they are looking into the issue - no further replies.

So I have looked into this further. It looks like it is an issue with the Facebook API. Other photo companies which access your Facebook account have the same issue.

Blurb gave me a further recommendation which works - move the images you want from the Mobile album to their own album. Descriptions, tags and comments all go with the image to the new album. If the photos was part of a post of multiple photos, comments on the post will not go with the photo. I hope this helps you!

If I learn anything more I will report back ;-)

Unfortunately I am having the same issue.  Incredibly frustrating when you can see the photo is there however you can't use it.  Gotta be a way around it.  I'll keep trying.

Any update on this???? I'm so sad if I can't access all my photos. Completely defeats the purpose of a "2013" album
