Bokwright: Print copy on home printer to proof before ordering

I've made a lot of books using Booksmart. I've always found it VERY important and helpful to be able to print a copy of the book (with the blurb watermark) from my home computer to proof the book before ordering it . Strangely, Bookwright doesn't have this option. The preview button is of limited help for those of us who prefer to proof from paper rather than from a computer screen.

I agree. This is an appalling oversite on behalf of the developers. I can not for the life of me see the reasoning. We are already working in a walled garden to it is unlikely we would or could take the project else where.

Answers please Blurb.

I need to print preview a page of text that I am not too sure is going to come out the way I want - very expensive mistake if it goes wrong - how to print preview ???  URGENT

The only work around that I found was to go into preview mode and take a screen shot and then print out the screen shot. It's a stupid and cumbersome procedure, but if you just have one page to check it should work reasonably well.

Blurb really does need to fix this in their next update for Bookwright.

My other work round, (other than that expressed of screen grabs) does mean spending some money, is to publish it but only purchase the pdf. This then available for print from your computer. Once you have done that either delete it or ensure it is not made public before you are happy.

This is very disturbing that you can't print a proof.

Why isn't this fixed?  We know from BookSmart that it is possible.

The print option in Booksmart is far better than the pdf option in Bookwright.  I've done quite a few books in Booksmart and never, ever had a problem with it.  Based on the Blurb recommendation I switched this time to Bookwright.  What a nightmare!   I'm very disappointed with that program - I'm switching back to Booksmart!
