Bookstore browser - (direct page choice); and metric book fomats – A4 and A3 – why not?

Why doesn't Blurb  enable browsers to nominate a page number (i.e. p502 of 2063) view in the bookstore browser? Virtually all photo libraries offer this facility (and have done for ages). Come on Blurb, please provide some added functionality for sample-searching the bookstore.

Blurb wants worldwide customers who are not just photography-focused – so why doesn't it offer metric book formats – A5, A4 and A3 (both portrait and landscape)? These are standard sizes in non-US countries, and should be supported. I suspect the US-centric Blurb community won't be interested in this. But in the rest of the world, the potential is huge. Blurb already half-recognises this issue by providing both metric and imperial measurements – why not go the extra steps?

I agree with Simon, I’d need to create a A4 photo album so I’d like to see metric sized photo books added as well.

Yes please. A4 and A5 very necessary. I have several books in inDesign already in those formats and converting the format to fit Blurb's sizes is just too much!

I agree too. Blurb should really give serious consideration to introducing an A4 size book.
A4 is the standard size for so many publications today all around the world (except the USA). Blurb's standard portrait/landscape size is too small, their large landscape is too large, and both are too close to square to comfortably accommodate documents which have been prepared in A4. They also don't fit in well with filing systems, most of which have also been designed around A4 size documents.
I had raised this issue some time ago with Blurb, and had vainly hoped that a solution may be just around the corner.
I think that Blurb is missing out on significant incremental sales by not offering an A4 size alternative.

Yes A4 is very important!  Please make A4 format books and magazines!  The same printing equipment can handle it, it's just a question of allowing us to upload metric formatted books.  8.5x11 seems like an arbitrary rule.  This should be easy.

Lack of A4 means that I can't choose Blurb as my printer right now.  All our documents are prepared as A4 or A3 so that they are compatible with business conventions.

I agree.  All my books are in A4 PDF files.  What a pain it is to convert them all to 8" x 10" before uploading!

Please add an A4 page size option pronto.

Has anyone from blurb responded to these requests for A4 book size? I would assume they are losing business in Europe if they don't provide metric books sizes such as A3, A4 and A5. I have a book that I am about to publish and wanted to use blurb. It looks as though it will have a decent print run but I'm going to have to go elsewhere.
