Footnotes

Bookwright can currently accommodate footnotes, but creation, numbering and formatting is manual and in the hands of the author.

How exactly does Bookwright support footnotes? I can't figure out how to insert them.

IN BOOKWRITE: First, design a page layout with 2 text boxes; one for "content text" and one for "footnotes", usually at the bottom of the page. Second, flow the content text from one content text box to the next. Flow the footnotes from one footnote text box to the next. Third, footnote numbering (or symbols) has to be done by the author, manually, in the content text and in the footnotes, because BOOKWRITE has no support for footnotes.

IN A WORD PROCESSOR: To make the layout procedure above work smoothly, first write all the content text in a word processor file and put all footnotes in sequence in a separate file. Second, make sure all the footnote numbering is correct in the context text and in the fottnotes. Third, add each file to BOOKWRITE as described above.
