Displaying mathematics, chemical formulae, etc.

Is there a way to add mathematical and similar non-alphabetic text to a book without having to add it as image files?  LaTex provides a powerful way to set-up Math, chemistry, etc. But I don't see any way to use it in Blurb.  For small 'boxes', importing an image could work.  But, for longer text (e.g. multiple pages for a trade book), matching images to available space on the page, dealing with white space, lining up columns, etc. would be major pain.
