How do I add pictures/clipart/photos without the white background of the photo on each page.

I published a book a couple of years ago. In this book all my graphics were put on each page with the page colour surrounding the picture. I am trying to write another book now and I cant remember how I got the colour background of my pictures to match the colour of my page. When I put the picture on my new book I keep getting the white surround on the picture.

Can anyone please help

How can I make the background of a photo page in colour.? I have tried adding the colour but it does not show up - only the gray surround shows.

With thanks, Sandra

A question not answered is of no help; just about every question I have has no answer and the above is something fairly basic that should be answered in a general help document, of which there is none, at least that I know of.

The blurb "help" in general is for the birds bit they could probably provide more help.

You cannot have a transparent picture background in a jpg image. You need to use png.

With image editing, delete the background of your image or make it transparent or what ever you wish to call it, it works perfectly.

see if your graphic editor can export a png image . If not you need one that does. Pixelmatr works great, and it is easy to learn.
