What's a proof copy?
A Blurb proof copy is simply a single printed copy of your Blurb book or magazine. It's standard practice in the printing world to order and review a proof copy before placing a large order. It's also a good idea to order and review a single copy before making the book available for sale, or submitting the book for an important client, event, or class.
How do I order a proof copy?
A proof copy is just a single copy of your book. Simply upload the book, place it in your cart, and set the quantity of printed copies to one. Once you receive and review that printed copy you can make changes if necessary and order additional copies.
Why is a proof copy important?
This single copy lets you to see how your book looks when printed, bound, and trimmed by Blurb. It's also your chance to catch any typos, too-dark images, content you've placed over our trim guides, or anything else you might have missed while reviewing your book on screen.
A proof copy helps you discover things you can only notice in the printed version, like the color or brightness. Blurb doesn't review or edit your content or design in any way so it's up to you to make sure things look right.
Can Blurb print a partial book?
We can't print individual pages or ship unbound books consisting of just the pages.
